Ella’s Jazz Samba

I’ve been listening to “Jazz Samba” by Ella Fitzgerald for over a week and thought it would be perfect for this months lab. Specifically, I focused on Ella’s Scat solo and ended up painting a kind of sonic notation of Ella’s singing. At the bottom are representations of Duke Ellingtons Piano accompaniment. The large oblong in green and red was really to fill in the empty space. I have no idea what it represents, if anything. It’s been too long since I painted anything like this. All in all I’m happy with what I have made here.
