(I chose to work only using green as it was an interesting color to me for this project. I tried to keep the details and brush strokes very simple, singular in nature though there was much I wished to do with the piece outside the parameters. Aside from the figure and subject matter, everything was very in the moment, stream of consciousness.)
Description:
The silhouetted figure contemplates future growth as represented by the plant-like strokes “growing” upward. The thought of growing a business, and art career, or anything else we may choose in life, can be profoundly intimidating.
The pursuit of a thing, the managment of it, the steps to achieving a thing, planning, and so on – all of it, can be daunting. It is this which is the subject of this piece and that of it’s figure.
