| Who Are You? |
Oil and acrylic paintings inspired by vintage cartoons, surrealism and 50’s pop culture I would like to say pop surrealism or low brow art however not sure if I’m nailing the category just yet! As for why I create…. That’s a loaded question…..A lot of my art is based off of my childhood trauma inspired by the immense amount of loneliness I felt as a child making friends with the television characters and animals around me I’ve always been attracted to surrealism due to the brain stimulation and the wonder of it all and so I try to emulate that in my work. Although I’m new to painting and have a lot of room to grow painting is the best therapy I’ve ever come across so that is the main reason I create.
