WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

With all the videos we put out there, we find it is always best to talk one-on-one and brainstorm to make real progress. Suppose you have a specific question you would like to ask Rafi And Klee. This is our answer. We will schedule a one-on-one zoom meeting to discuss your topic of choice. We love hearing about your unique situation and seeing if we can figure some things out regarding your options. Klee and I will sit on the call and talk candidly about what we think will be the best unique direction tailored for you. We may not have the answers you are looking for, but we will give you our opinion on anything you want to discuss.

I’m going just to come out and say it. Some people want to be spoon-fed and think there is a copy-paste answer for everything. You will hate meeting with us if you are one of these people. We will challenge you to think for yourself and develop your unique way of doing things. It is your life. You have to decide how you are going to live it.

OUR PERSONAL OPINION ON THE WORD “COACHING.”

If you have been following us for a while, you know that we are not big fans of most coaching for artists. There is a lot of bullcrap out there. People are selling and discussing prepackaged courses and programs that follow a cookie-cutter approach. We don’t consider ourselves “coaches” in the popular way that a word like that is used. First off, we are full-time artists and not coaches for a living. We do this on the side. What is the point of talking to us if we are not doing the thing people want to discuss? Our coaching is more like hanging out with supportive friends who may have done some of the things you want to do. In other words, don’t expect typical cookie-cutter coaching.

WHEN ARE THE ZOOM MEETINGS SCHEDULED?

Our schedules are very limited because we run a full-time multi-level art business, so our meeting times only happen on Sundays. We also have limited memberships that offer monthly one-on-one meetings that may fill the slots. If there is not an opening contact us, and we can let you know when something opens up.

No matter where we are in our creative career, there is always a next level. We will discuss where you want to go next and brainstorm ideas for getting there. We will also discuss the all-important emotional hurdles you may face. This is not for the faint of heart.

When we think back to the beginning of our art career, it is clear that we are making a living from this because we changed what we believed was possible for us. This is an important step, and your mindset makes all the difference.

How to empower yourself to stimulate change.

This is the most powerful of everything that has helped us move forward in our creative careers. Learning how to empower yourself and not wait around for approval is something that will change everything.

Face rejection, failure, discouragement, and worry like a champion.

The truth is that being an artist is more than just a career. This is life, and our most significant obstacles will happen in our heads. Failure is a necessary component to achieve success. You have to know how to navigate through it, not around it.

Getting rid of limiting beliefs and focusing on what you CAN do.

I can’t stress enough how much your mindset matters in this whole thing. If you move forward and have whack beliefs, you will sabotage yourself. Understanding what they are and how to change them is paramount.

Dealing with naysayers and a poor support system.

Some of us have a great support system helping us push forward as creatives. Unfortunately, many of us don’t. We are very familiar with navigating those waters. Setting boundaries and putting your foot down is sometimes necessary to make this creative career happen.

Rafi Perez is an award-winning contemporary artist who creates emotionally charged works. His art is meant to inspire empowerment, self-awareness, and mindfulness. He is also the author of The Rogue Artist books, a musician, a multi-media editor, and all-around creative.
